The material is moved along the conveyor belt by the movement of the rollers or by friction between the material and the flat surface. Conveyor belts can be used to move a wide variety of materials, including bulk materials, packages and individual items. There are many types of conveyor belts, including flat belts, groove belts and toothed belts. Flat belts are used to transport materials horizontally or on a slight slope, while corrugated belts are used to transport materials on a steeper slope. Interlock belts are used to transport materials that need to be held in place or separated, as the locks in the belt help prevent the material from slipping off the belt.
